E-mint is an independent organisation of community professionals and anyone interested in the theory or practice of online communities. Headquartered in London, the 7 year old organisation focuses on European issues. Are you clicking in from europe? Try this link for more information.

E-mint members include academic and commercial managers, policy makers, researchers and developers from small independent organisations to large corporate interests.

E-mint provides an online space for discussion and holds monthly meetings in London. As the organisation grows, we are looking into additional regional f2f meetings.

E-MINT USA?!?!?!
Well you never know when we'll pop up. Register your interest and let us know where you are located.

E-mint aims include-

Support - Managers of communities often work alone within organisations, but all face similar situations daily. E-mint aims to provide a forum for sharing these experiences for mutual benefit.

Knowledge - Community management requires a number of different areas of expertise, from legal and regulatory through to software selection. Sharing experiences in these areas is encouraged.

Influence - Industry standards are discussed and can be used to influence. E-mint has debates around the steering of digital social networks, for instance, being on task forces with the Home Office. We also assisted ABC to formalise a set of UK National standards for traffic measurements both html and IRC Chat last year.

Socialise - As E-mint began informally over a few drinks, one of the most important aims is to enable E-mint members to meet informally, network and have fun.
